Information, Applications and Procedures for:
Tier 4 UK Student Visa

To qualify for admission as a student, a person must:

• Have been accepted for a course of study in a bona fide private education institution (with properly maintained enrollment and attendance records), or an independent fee paying school outside the maintained sector, or a publicly funded institution of further/higher education*;
• be able to meet the costs of the course, accommodation and maintenance (including for dependents) without taking employment or engaging in business or having recourse to public funds;

Send us your current valid and signed passport. It must not expire within 6 months and must have at least one blank visa page. If you do not have any blank visa pages in your passport, you must first amend your passport to have pages added. A Briggs will secure your visa using the added pages. If your passport expires within six months, you must renew your passport and then we will secure your visa with the new passport.

Send printout of online visa application form completed and signed in blue ink. You will pay the consular fees online and book your biometrics appointment during this process. Both payment of the consular fees and booking of biometrics appointment MUST be done through this online process. You can find the application by using the following link:

UK Visa Application

Biometrics are required for all UK visas. When filling out the application you will book an appointment. There is no additional cost to you beyond the consular fees. This comes at the end of the online application process. You will be given an opportunity to pick the time, date, and location of your appointment. Please note that there might not be a time available immediately. You will need to take your receipt and passport to the appointment. Once you get a stamp of completion at the end of the appointment, you may then ship your documents to the appropriate A Briggs office. (See "Shipping Instructions" below.)

You must submit 2 passport photographs taken by a passport photographer. Digital and non-passport photographs are not acceptable.

NOTE: Processing times are business days. The first day begins the day after your package is received by A Briggs except in the case of pre-arranged same day service when available. Prices are per applicant.

For all non-US citizens, you must submit proof of your immigration status in the USA and permission to re-enter the USA after your trip. Please submit original documents.

Examples include:

• Permanent Resident Card
• Valid US visa (e.g., H1B, F1)
• Advance Parole Document
• Employment Authorization Card (does not permit re-entry to US)
• Valid DS 2019 (Formerly IAP66)
• Valid I-20 (must be signed on the reverse by designated school official)
• Valid I-94 Arrival Departure Record

You must submit an original school letter with a signature from school official confirming your acceptance for the course of study in the UK and a statement of charges for the course. School letter must include: Cost of fees, Fees paid, Dates of study, sponsors ID number, applicant's name and passport number.

You must submit your original school transcripts.

You must submit documentation that you have enough funds to support your trip to the United Kingdom. All documents must be original, not copies.
Examples include:

• Bank statements showing funds available and in the account for at least 28 days. Bank Statements printed out online must have a stamp and original signature from your bank on each page.
• Loan Approval – from the original financial institution
• Letter of Support from Sponsor - The student has to have a notarized letter from their sponsor to allow them to show proof of their bank statements.
• Evidence of Government Sponsorship

If you are using funds in your parent’s name, then you must also submit your original birth certificate along with a letter from them signed with an original signature stating their relationship to you and that they are financially supporting you while you are in school.

Fill out and sumbit the Appendix 8 form with your application.

You must complete the Online Order Form.

The order form gives us your name, address, shipping information and payment method. Multiple applicants can be entered using one order form. Please print two copies of the confirmation page. Include one copy with the documents you ship to us and keep one copy for your records.

While completing the online order form in this step, you will be asked how you want to pay A Briggs. You may pay our fees online with a credit card or enclose a personal or business check or money order.

Saturday Delivery is an additional $14 when available to US destinations.
