Information, Applications and Procedures for:
We have UK visa specialists ready to assist you with your specific visa questions. In order to have one of our specialists give your application personal assistance, you will need to provide them with an A Briggs order number and pay the service fee. This fee is non-refundable. To obtain your order number, please fill out our order form .
Expedited UK visas require an additional $150 priority fee paid to the consulate, in addition to the consular fee listed above. For Settlement visas, this is $300. We can collect that fee and pay it to the consulate in your behalf for an additional $5.
Please note: U.S. citizens are required to present a valid passport that has at least one blank visa page. The UK does not explicitly require travelers to have 6 months left on their passports before entering the UK, however, many airlines do. Please be sure to always check with your airline for their specific travel requirements.
U.S. citizens are not required to secure a visa in advance of travel to the United Kingdom when traveling as a tourist. You may stay in the country without a visa for a stay of up to 6 months.
A valid passport and visa are required for certain non-U.S. citizens to enter The United Kingdom. Travelers arriving without valid passports and the appropriate visa may not be permitted to enter and will be subject to a fine and immediate deportation at the traveler's expense.
Our UK pages are for general information only. They intend to serve as a guide. Please be aware that individual cases may vary. For further guidance, please visit the UK visa website. After you read all the instructions, if you have any questions, call us at 1-800-806-0581.
Before you apply for a Tier 4 visa for the UK, you should complete the online points-based calculator. This tool allows you to calculate how many points you may get, and indicates whether you may be eligible to work or study in the United Kingdom under the points-based system. The results produced by using this tool will show your possible points score should you wish to apply, and do not guarantee a successful application. The UK Consulate will make a decision once they have received your full application and supporting evidence.

- be able to meet the costs of the course, accommodation and maintenance (including for dependants) without taking employment or engaging in business or having recourse to public funds
Items required for securing your visa to the UK.
Send us your current valid and signed passport. It must not expire within 6 months and must have at least one blank visa page. If you do not have any blank visa pages in your passport, you must first amend your passport to have pages added. A Briggs will secure your visa using the added pages. If your passport expires within six months, you must renew your passport and then we will secure your visa with the new passport.
Send the entire printout of an online visa application form completed and signed in blue ink. You will pay the consular fees online and book your biometrics appointment during this process. Both payment of the consular fees and booking of biometrics appointment MUST be done through this online process. You can find the application by using the following link:

Biometrics are required for all UK visas. When filling out the application you will book an appointment. There is no additional cost to you beyond the consular fees. This comes at the end of the online application process. You will be given an opportunity to pick the time, date, and location of your appointment. Please note that there might not be a time available immediately. You will need to take your receipt and passport to the appointment. Once you get a stamp of completion at the end of the appointment, you may then ship your documents to the appropriate A Briggs office. (See "Shipping Instructions" below.) Biometrics are not required for children under the age of 5.

NOTICE OF FRAUDULENT ACTIVITIES USING A BRIGGS' NAME
A criminal somewhere online, we believe in Africa, is using A Briggs' name to perpetuate a fraud doing the following: the criminal emails persons in the Philippines (and presumably they may be doing it in other countries) offering them jobs in the UK with the enticement that the criminal needs nannies. Victims who respond are asked to complete a form and send a photo. The form asks for the victims passport number, address and full name. After the requested information is submitted by the victim, the criminal sends the victim the completed "Work Permit" on an apparently fraudulently printed form and a "European Health Insurance Card", also fraudulently created presumably, with the victims picture attached to it.
The name of our firm appears on the "Work Permit". This is a fraudulent use of our name and we have nothing to do with this activity and state for your information at this time, THIS IS A FRAUD. DO NOT RESPOND TO SOLICITATIONS.
